Russian Artist Andrey Mironov

Andrey Mironov was born in Ryazan, Russia, in 1975.

In 1991, he was admitted to the Professional College in Ryazan. In 1993, he started his carear in Russian Armed Forces and than in the Ministry of the Interior. Since 2007 he has been taking part in Art exhibitions.

In 2007, Andrey won the first place in Moscow Russian art week.
In his art he focuses on religious inspiration and motifs and is often intended to uplift the mind to the spiritual. Andrey attempts to illustrate, supplement and portray in tangible form the principles of Christianity. His greatest creative triumphs are illustrations of scenes from the Bible. In his paintings and prints he exhibits knowledge of classical iconography, which he moldes to fit the requirements of his own experience; thus, the depiction of a biblical scene is informed by Andrey's knowledge of the specific text and his assimilation of classical composition.
